Theodore

Theodore is our main protagonist who has elected to narrate his own story (with the help of his Knowledge, Fritz Tavelli) as the strong, tough and all-powerful Guardian of Imaticohn's Watch. Looks sure can be deceiving, can't they? For a deity who can lift 100x his own weight, summon otherworldly powers and command a hidden nation (with loads of help, because commanding a nation is hard), he certainly smiles and laughs a lot.

But there's nothing with that.

...Right?

Fritz Tavelli

Fritz Tavelli "immigrated" to Pajes from his Brooklyn home when things started to look grim for him. Immediately smitten with Pajes' mystical properties and ancient history, he made himself at home in the rich libraries of the land's central city and became an official expert on Pajessian law and order. Fritz's brilliance and kindness is employed to serve as Theodore's Knowledge soon after Theodore is woven, and it is Fritz who helps our newly-literate hero narrate his story. Behind Fritz's impeccable understanding of Pajes' history and structure lie some truly surprising little secrets.

Hon. Nicholas Fate

Judge Nicholas Fate is an old and rather insufferable individual with some sort of special connection to the Ancient Assembly of Pajes.

He serves as Theodore's Advisor on the Mortal Council, but being as old as he is, many of his ideals are too stiff and outdated for Theodore to tolerate, so there is a constant battle for understanding between the Guardian and his Advisor. Alongside his startling power, Nicholas seems haunted by some shadows of his past. Could they explain why he is so hard on the newly-Woven Guardian of Imaticohn's Watch?

Lalah Miu

Lalah is a lovable, excitable and downright-bizarre fashion model and jeweller with psychic abilities who is a native resident of Pajes. She will read your

tea-leaves and practice telekinesis on your precious China, although she's not very good at telekinesis yet., even with over 100 years of practice. Her great-grandfather was one of Theodore's deceased predecessors, and this special bloodline grants her a number of little gifts that she honestly doesn't have much time for. Lalah is happiest modelling clothing designed by her famous sister, Celeste, crafting jewellery, and interpreting Theodore's strange dreams.

Rae Ankou

Rae is a rambunctious teenager living with their single father on the outskirts Pajes where everything is a literal misty reflection of the surrounding area, making life immediately difficult for the local residents, predominantly a Pajessian race known as Reflections. Being shapeshifters from birth, Reflections struggle to find their true sense of self, and Rae was originally no exception to this. But Rae finds comfort in their newfound friendship with Theodore, and also finds themselves a seat on the Mortal Council when he sees Rae's true potential beaming from within.

Asiagael

Ancient, mysterious, and under tremendous pressure, Asiagel is one of the two divine creators responsible for Pajes and its long, intricate history. She served as the hidden universe's Guardian for 1000 years before her heroic strength wore thin, and so she turned to her talents with Looms and Threads to weave Guardians into existence, to serve in her place in intervals of 100 years, so that they wouldn't have to know her exhaustion. But Asiagael is far from perfect, and of the few dozen Guardians she has Woven to defend Imaticohn's Watch, only 5 have Passed, and with some failures of hers proving to be catastrophic, Asiagael comes to doubt her ability more and more.

Can she ever believe in creations again, if she cannot believe in herself?

Imaticohn

Imaticohn is the eternal force that brought Pajes, a mystic land that lives to serve those who require its sanctuary, into existence. As Imaticohn keeps watch over the ebb and flow of time and space, his sister, Asiagael, weaves Guardians to protect the land he watches. He is noble but unprejudiced, firm but fair, eternal but ever-adapting. And for the first time in his long, long history, as though sensing the urgency in it, he is allowing a Guardian to tell his own story.

...and many more!
